How do I record a call?
Dial 0871 220 7676. When the call is connected, enter the number of
the person you want to speak to, followed by Hash.
Can I record a call to any number?
You can record a call to most UK landline numbers. Recordmycall does
not record calls to: mobiles; international numbers; emergency and
other operator services; personal numbers and premium rate services.
When do I start paying for a call
You start paying when the message "Welcome to Recordmycall"
is played to you.
You pay whether or not you get through to the person you want to speak
to, so you are advised to hang up if you hear the engaged tone or
after a short period if there is no reply.
What are the Recordmycall messages for?
These messages tell you:
Can I interrupt any of the Recordmycall messages?
Yes, as soon as you are connected to Recordmycall, you can
enter the number of the person you want to speak to.
What is the End of Recording menu?
A menu of options which becomes available when you press Star or the
person you called has hung up.
Can I withhold my number when I make a call?
Yes, your number is still withheld from the person you are calling.
What is the PIN for?
The PIN is used to identify the recording. When you wish to replay
the recording, you will be asked to enter its PIN.
How will I remember the PIN?
The PIN is the same as the last 6 digits of the phone number you dial
when you make a call. For example, if you record a call to the phone
number 01234 567890, the PIN for the recording is 567890.
Can I change the PIN?
Yes, while the call is in progress or after the person you have called
hangs up, you can press Star to enter the End of Recording menu and
then press Hash to select the option to change the PIN for the Recording.
What are the End of Recording menu options?
The End of Recording menu options are as follows:
Key 1 To listen to details of the Recording
Key 2 To record another call
Key 3 To find out more about Recordmycall
Key 0 To hang up
Key # To change the PIN for this Recording
How do I change the PIN?

From the End of Recording menu, press Hash

Enter your new PIN, followed by Hash
The new PIN:
-
Can be 4, 5 or 6 digits
-
Must differ from the default PIN
-
Cannot start 999 or 112 (Emergency operator numbers)

To start again, press Star
If I hang up before I change the PIN, can I change it later?
Yes, dial Recordmycall Replay, select the Recording for which you
wish to change the PIN, press '0' to get to the Main menu and press
Hash to change the PIN.
What if I change the PIN and then forget/lose it?
You will not be able to replay the recording.
How long will the recording be available?
You can replay the recording for up to 30 days from the date it was
made. After that time it will be deleted and you will not be able
to replay it.
What should I do if there is a problem recording a call?
